Dear Culverhill School Community,
I am delighted and honoured to be the role of Headteacher at Culverhill School. Having had the privilege of working alongside our wonderful pupils, families, and staff for over 12 years, I feel incredibly fortunate to lead this exceptional school.
Our pupils are truly inspiring – resilient, enthusiastic, and full of potential. At the heart of everything we do is our school vision: Inspire, Nurture, Thrive. This guides our daily work and conversations, helping us stay true to our purpose and values.
As Headteacher, my primary responsibility is to ensure every pupil feels safe, happy, and empowered to reach their full potential. I believe that the success and wellbeing of every child is best achieved through strong partnerships between school, home and external agencies. In my experience, children thrive when families and school staff work closely together.
Education has the power to transform lives. I am committed to providing meaningful opportunities for every student to flourish—academically, socially, and personally. Each child will be known, valued, and supported as a unique individual, with their personality, talents and interests nurtured and celebrated.
At Culverhill, we believe in developing the whole child in a safe, creative, and inspiring environment. We offer every learner the opportunity to thrive, both in and beyond the classroom. Our dedicated staff and governors work closely with parents and professionals to harness each child’s strengths and passions. We foster self-esteem, resilience, confidence, and independence within a caring school community where every success is recognised and celebrated.
Equally important is our commitment to our staff team. We know that the wellbeing of our staff is fundamental to a thriving school. That’s why we prioritise a supportive working environment, meaningful professional development (CPD), and ensuring every staff member has the tools and resources they need to do their job well. When staff feel valued and empowered, they are best placed to support and inspire our pupils.
